When I"m asked to complete an educational evaluation, one of the first questions I ask parents is when they first noticed their child struggling. By this time, they are able to provide example after example of how their child has fallen behind or has become discouraged in school. Often, parents tell me that they delayed taking action because they weren't sure what to do or who to contact. Sometimes, parents will tell me that they feel guilty because they didn't see the signs sooner.
